As a Mission Critical General Superintendent you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising personnel and activities related to the installation and maintenance of electrical systems on multiple projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, Safety, BIM, Pre-Fabrication, QA/QC, and other departments to ensure that Adams Electric standards and processes are met on each project. You will also evaluate temporary employees, supervise electrical work, manage budgets and deadlines, and coordinate with other trades to keep projects on schedule and on contract.
Training and Development
Assist Field Operation Managers with the review process for both Adams employees and associates.
Scheduling
Oversee and maintain project schedules, crew organization, and manpower projections.
Work with Project Managers and Field Operation Managers to develop field organization charts.
Update schedule and manpower projections weekly.
Set and track measurable production goals for individuals and crews.
Maintain material management and logistics plans, including ordering, receiving, and organizing materials.
Develop materials management and jobsite logistic plans before project start.
Implement and adjust plans throughout the project in partnership with Vendor Partners.
Safety
Develop and maintain safety plans related to current projects.
Work with Onsite Safety Managers to create project‑specific safety plans.
Ensure that projects adhere to both project‑specific safety plans and Adams Electric company standards.
Quality Control
Create and maintain QA/QC plans for current projects.
Work with Onsite QA/QC Managers to develop project‑specific QA/QC plans.
Ensure adherence to project QA/QC plans and Adams Electric company standards, including testing and documentation.
BIM / Design
Lead BIM layout efforts prior to the project, with assistance from foremen.
Review drawings throughout the process to ensure quality control.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, and the BIM Manager to develop BIM schedules.
Ensure drawings are delivered and reviewed before pre‑fabrication and onsite installation dates.
Pre-Fabrication
Develop pre‑fabrication plans, determine appropriate assemblies, and manage delivery and installation schedules.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, Prefab Foremen, and the BIM Manager to develop pre‑fabrication schedules.
Position Qualifications Education, Training and Certifications
10+ years of experience as a Superintendent and/or General Superintendent.
3+ years of experience as a Superintendent on a Mission Critical Project.
Working Conditions
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots).
Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process.
