Responsibilities & Objectives Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, Elemica’s Director, Value Engineering plays a strategic role in connecting the value of our supply chain SaaS solutions to our customers’ business outcomes. This role partners with Sales, Presales, Product, Professional Services, and Technology teams to quantify, articulate, and deliver measurable business value across the customer lifecycle—from initial business case through realized ROI.

The Value Engineer helps customers and prospects understand how our solutions improve supply chain performance, reduce cost, and create competitive advantage through digitization and automation.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with sales teams to build business cases that quantify ROI and strategic impact of our platform

Lead discovery workshops with executive stakeholders to define pain points, KPIs, and target outcomes

Develop value hypotheses, financial models, and custom ROI analyses that support deal justification

Present value‑driven proposals and executive summaries that link technology adoption to business results

Partner with internal teams to track value realization vs. the presale business case

Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) highlighting measurable improvements in supply chain KPIs (e.g., order cycle time, on‑time delivery, working capital, network visibility)

Identify expansion opportunities by uncovering additional value levers

Internal Enablement

Build reusable value frameworks, ROI calculators, and industry benchmark data for consistent use across sales teams

Train internal teams on value messaging and customer outcome storytelling

Maintain a library of value case studies and executive win summaries

Market & Industry Insight

Stay current with supply chain trends, digital transformation benchmarks, and industry ROI drivers

Collaborate with Product and Marketing to feed customer outcome data into roadmap and messaging

Key Metrics of Success

Percentage of deals with quantified business cases

Customer ROI achieved and verified post‑implementation

Revenue influenced or accelerated by VE involvement

Executive engagement rate in value discussions

Expansion and renewal rates linked to value realization

What You’ll Need

5+ years of experience in Value Engineering, Consulting, or Supply Chain Transformation roles

Strong understanding of supply chain processes (procurement, logistics, planning, order management, etc.)

Expertise in financial modeling, ROI/TCO analysis, and business case development

Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills

Ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes

Proven accountability and excellent interpersonal skills; the confidence to be an honest advocate who is willing to speak up when needed

Excellent problem‑solving skills with ability to get to the root cause of internal and external problems; ability to recommend resolutions

Must respond to client requests with empathy, compassion, strategic advisement, and rapidity

Desire to work with a collaborative global team with offices in the USA, Germany, UK, Netherlands, and India

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
