Purpose of the Position Provide direct support to the Sales Manager in the ongoing development of existing and prospective ACSI customers. Interact with all business targets through excellent telephone and computer sales and communications skills and develop phone-based revenue generation through real-time responses to sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Be proficient in job knowledge of all products being offered to customers. Provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services. Provide qualified inquiries with price quotes, and follow up on all quotes to reach Closed/Won or provide reason why the opportunity was Lost.

Essential Job Functions

Represent ACSI in a positive and professional manner to all internal and external customers

Manage customers' accounts in all related company software systems - CRM & ERP

Communicate and maintain relationships with customers and distributors

Ability to qualify each inquiry and then guide them by providing related information about the products that fit their need

Create accurate quotes based on Estimating and Engineering inputs

Process orders from customers and expedite as needed

Respond promptly and follow up on customer inquiries and orders

Provide customers with product delivery and pricing

Inform customers of status or any changes in delivery of product

Provide customers with technical support directly or via other team members

Provide shipping/delivery information to warehouse and production team

Provide information to production team about new jobs

Work with engineers to design custom product for customers

Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals

Participate in meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items

Participate in Trade Shows - must be able to travel throughout various locations in the U.S. several times per year and be able stay up to five (5) days at each event as needed

Ensure sales administration duties are performed accurately and on time in all related computer software resources as assigned

Provide feedback and recommendations to Sales Manager regarding the improvement of customer sales and retention tools and procedures

Handle and resolve customer complaints

Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes

Keep records of customer interactions in CRM and transactions via quotes

Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints in CRM

Record details of actions taken including phone calls and emails

Ensure all of the duties of the position are completed as per the job description

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent

3 years of proven sales experience

Prior experience with manufacturing sales is a plus

Knowledge of sales and customer service principles and practices

Knowledge of relevant computer applications - Microsoft Office and CRM

Ability to type accurately

Knowledge of administrative procedures

Numeric, oral and written language applications

Having similar product knowledge is preferred

Working Conditions Hours: 8 per day 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Week: 40 hrs; Overtime hours must be pre‑approved; Lunch: 1 hour; Sitting: 70% of time; Standing & walking: 30% of time.

Environment: Office and plant environment.

Physical Tasks: Minimum. Stress: Medium.
