The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key day-to-day functions of the accounting department. Role & Responsibilities

Assist with Financial Statement Preparation; own assigned general ledger accounts, including monthly reconciliations, journal entries, variance investigation, and clear, documented support. Prepare workpapers for audits, budgeting, forecasting; respond to auditor requests and contribute to budget/forecast build and variance commentary. Perform monthly income-statement expense reviews; investigate anomalies and misclassifications; prepare and post correcting entries with complete support. Prepare monthly financial metrics and analysis results; distribute clear, actionable reports to leaders across the organization to support informed decision-making. Inventory Accounting & Controls: perform monthly inventory reconciliations between the general ledger and inventory reports; research and resolve variances promptly; collaborate with the Inventory Control team to ensure proper and timely recording of inventory adjustments (e.g. cycle counts, scrap, obsolescent) and disposals, with appropriate approvals and documentation; monitor and propose adjustments for inventory reserves in line with company policy. Revenue, COGS & Cut-Off: reconcile Sales and Cost of Goods Sold monthly, ensuring proper cut-off and matching principles; coordinate with the Project Management and Inventory Control teams to confirm revenue recognition criteria are met and COGS is recorded to the correct period. Partner closely with Operations, Project Management, and Inventory Control teams to align processes that impact revenue, COGS, and inventory; provide guidance and training where appropriate. Recommend and implement process improvements and ERP/ reporting enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. Assist in documenting accounting procedures and internal controls. Assist with routine banking transactions and cash management activities. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred. Experience: minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel. Proficiency using accounting software/ERP systems. Preferred Skills

Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently while maintaining high productivity and strong time management skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools, such as Power BI or Alteryx, is beneficial. Travel Requirements
