Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our client's team. The primary responsibilities include supporting physicians and healthcare providers by rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of patient clinics.
Key Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, and physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate. Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Obtain all necessary patient records as required by the physician prior to treatment or procedures. Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed. Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested. Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician. Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist. Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNs. Inform the physician of patient reschedules and no-shows. Perform other administrative duties, i.e., typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc., as requested by supervisor or physician. May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervision. Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred. Entry-level position requiring 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant. Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant. Experience
Minimum of three years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant for Level 2. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Minimum five years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting for Senior Level. Current CPR certification required for Senior Level. Benefits
