We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer / CNC Programming Lead — a hands‑on technical leader who blends deep CNC programming expertise with process development, team leadership, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities Programming & Process Development
Develop and optimize CNC programs for a wide range of machines, including:
Horizontal and vertical milling centers (4‑axis, palletized systems)
Multi‑axis turning centers (live‑tool lathes, mill‑turn, and Swiss lathes)
Design efficient setups, fixtures, and tooling strategies to maximize accuracy and throughput.
Collaborate directly with machinists to refine methods, reduce cycle times, and improve part flow.
Analyze part geometry and manufacturing intent to drive process improvements and reduce waste.
Maintain standardized machining templates, tool libraries, and setup documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership
Lead process improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
Implement lean manufacturing principles across production areas, using data from ProShop ERP.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks by collaborating with quality, planning, and operations teams.
Drive digital integration and smart manufacturing practices throughout the shop floor.
Team Development & Collaboration
Serve as a technical mentor to machinists and setup personnel, fostering a learning‑oriented culture.
Partner closely with:
Quality Manager on manufacturability and inspection planning
Production Planner on workflow optimization and scheduling alignment
Shop Floor Lead on resource allocation and training
Communicate effectively across leadership to maintain alignment on goals, timelines, and priorities.
Technology & Innovation
Use ProShop ERP and other digital tools to standardize processes and ensure accurate documentation.
Leverage AI and online tools for research, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Participate in evaluating and implementing new manufacturing technologies, including automation, tool management, advanced CAM, and simulation.
Prerequisites
7+ years of CNC machining and programming experience across mill, lathe, and/or Swiss platforms.
Proven ability to develop efficient, high‑quality processes for complex parts and materials (aluminum, stainless, nickel alloys, etc.).
Strong understanding of GD&T, workholding, tool selection, and inspection planning.
Experience with modern CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, or similar) and ERP integration.
Demonstrated success in leading or mentoring teams in a manufacturing environment.
Comfortable balancing hands‑on programming and shop‑floor work with process‑level strategy.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
Adaptable and resourceful, thriving in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
AS9100 familiarity or related quality system experience
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification
CAD/CAM or CNC programming certifications
