The Domestic Logistics Coordinator oversees the coordination, tracking, and documentation of all domestic shipments from order initiation through final delivery. This role ensures that shipments are accurately processed, compliant with routing and documentation requirements, and delivered on schedule. The coordinator will serve as the key liaison between carriers, warehouses, brokers, and internal teams to maintain smooth logistics operations and uphold high customer service standards.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor all domestic shipments to ensure timely pickup, transit, and delivery.
Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, labels, and manifests.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date order information within the logistics management system.
Communicate daily with carriers, brokers, and warehouse partners to prevent and resolve delays.
Issue and track Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) in compliance with required timelines.
Proactively track shipments, address potential disruptions, and elevate issues as necessary.
Generate invoices promptly following shipment completion and ensure accuracy of billing details.
Verify pallet counts, truckload capacities, and routing requirements to ensure compliance.
Provide timely status updates and exception reporting to the sales and management teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
Proficient in logistics software, shipment tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external partners.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve shipping or routing issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in domestic logistics, shipping coordination, or transportation management.
Familiarity with freight terms, carrier operations, and documentation standards (e.g., bills of lading, ASNs).
Experience collaborating with sales, warehouse, and customer service teams to support seamless order fulfillment.
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
