Qualifications
Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
A bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. An additional five (5) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Must meet DoD 8570 compliance requirements; Security+ certification is preferred.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Job Summary The candidate will serve as a Systems Administrator supporting cloud-based repositories in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. These systems support thousands of users across the Intelligence Community and require a proactive, technically skilled individual who can adapt to changing operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience administering large Hadoop and Accumulo-based clusters, along with strong Linux system administration skills. Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools such as Puppet is highly beneficial. Experience working across hardware, software, network, and security teams is also valuable.
Candidates should be comfortable working in high-tempo mission environments where priorities shift rapidly in response to real-world events. The ability to monitor complex systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and escalate when necessary is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor system health and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across hardware, software, and network layers
Maintain and manage storage systems
Coordinate with external hardware, network, and infrastructure teams
Provide after-hours on-call and call-in support as needed
Ensure compliance with system security requirements
Participate in technical and engineering discussions
Create and maintain system-level scripts and automation tools
Apply system patches and perform upgrades
Administer and manage user accounts
Maintain accurate hardware and asset inventory records
