Shift Timings:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate experience for patients. The PSR I must demonstrate leadership behaviors, maintain confidentiality, and uphold accuracy in handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- Rotational Weekends: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate experience for patients. The PSR I must demonstrate leadership behaviors, maintain confidentiality, and uphold accuracy in handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Accurately maintain records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs.
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Preferred: Phlebotomy certification (Mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).
- Required: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
- Preferred: 1+ years of direct phlebotomy experience.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry is essential.
- Candidates must list their home city and commute time on their resume.
- Commute time should be within 20-25 minutes of the job site.
- Reliable transportation is required (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Punctuality and full shift attendance are mandatory; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
- Rate of pay is based on years of direct experience (overlapping roles do not count twice).
