Shift Schedule:
The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) is the frontline representative of the organization, responsible for delivering high-quality specimen collection services. This role involves direct patient interaction, requiring professionalism, empathy, and technical skill to ensure accurate and safe blood draws. The Phlebotomist I supports lab operations by preparing specimens for testing and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and confidentiality protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Location: Ellenton, FL
Duration: 6+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Schedule:
- Sunday & Monday: Off
- Tuesday & Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

This role involves direct patient interaction, requiring professionalism, empathy, and technical skill to ensure accurate and safe blood draws. The Phlebotomist I supports lab operations by preparing specimens for testing and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and confidentiality protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, with precision and care.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Accurately document patient interactions and specimen data.
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and trust.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Uphold HIP nd company confidentiality standards.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling needs including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).
- Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
- Skills: Strong phlebotomy technique; customer service experience; proficient in keyboard/data entry.
- Must reside within a 20-25 minute commute of the job site.
- Reliable transportation is mandatory (rideshare/bus not accepted).
- Must be punctual, available for full scheduled shifts, and maintain consistent attendance.
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
