Insurance Coverage Attorney Job Description:
Our law firm client seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing insurance policies, providing coverage opinions, and handling related litigation. This role involves working closely with insurers and policyholders on a wide range of coverage issues, including general liability, professional liability, property, and commercial policies.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze insurance policies to assess coverage obligations.
Draft coverage opinions, position letters, and reservation of rights/denial letters.
Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation, including motions, discovery, depositions, and court hearings.
Provide strategic guidance and counseling to insurance carriers and clients.
Manage cases efficiently while maintaining strong client communication.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active state bar membership.
2+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance defense experience.
Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
Excellent advocacy and communication skills.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between
$150,000 – $250,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
