Requirements
5+ years of public accounting experience
2–4+ years of supervisory or management experience
Broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in partnerships, high‑net‑worth individuals, corporations, pass‑through taxation, entities, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and/or financial planning
Ability to prepare working trial balance and year‑end adjusting entries
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
CPA certification (required)
Strong technical skills in tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
Excellent analytical, organizational, and written & verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and CCH Axcess
Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships
A Day‑in‑Life Overview
Review high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships, gift & estate returns, trust preparations, joint ventures, non‑corporate entity tax returns, combined state tax returns, and tax compliance
Manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients
Work closely with tax partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities
Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction, meeting deadlines and leading change efforts effectively
Consult, collaborate, and serve clients with recommendations on business & process improvements, acting as a business adviser
Supervise and drive success of multiple engagements in partnership and individual taxation
Prepare year‑end projections
Research various tax issues
Mentor associates and guide them on tax issues
Maintain presentation skills (oral and written)
Salary $115,000 – $155,000 a year
