IT Project Manager Energy / Oil & Gas

About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead enterprise technology initiatives within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep project management expertise, hands‑on technical knowledge, and strong leadership skills to drive cross‑functional digital projects supporting commercial, ERP, and marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of IT and business transformation projects within midstream and downstream energy operations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and timelines for commercial and ERP initiatives.
Manage cross‑functional teams across IT, operations, and business units to ensure successful project execution.
Oversee system integrations and enhancements involving enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, MS Dynamics, and trading systems (Allegro, RightAngle, Endur).
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and report key metrics to senior leadership.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and best practices across project delivery frameworks.
Qualifications
10+ years of total professional experience, with a significant portion in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within midstream or downstream operations.
Proven track record in IT project management supporting commercial, ERP, or marketing systems.
Experience with one or more enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle ERP, MS Dynamics, Allegro, RightAngle, Endur, ePOS, or SQL.
Hands‑on experience in at least one of these systems is required.
Exposure to AI technologies and ideally AI‑related certifications.
PMP certification preferred.
Strong ability to manage multiple roles (PM / BA) and work across technical and business functions.
