Role Overview The Tolling Market Lead will partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide. The role champions identification and development of projects and programs across HDR’s 36 operating areas, enhancing and expanding HDR’s suite of toll industry services.
Services Provided
AET conversions for existing facilities
Planning and Design services for systems including technology, payment methods, and advisory services
Mobility and operational technology services: ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM and OT cybersecurity
Advisory services: asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance
Responsibilities
Research and share knowledge of trends and drivers within the tolling market
Support the identification, pursuit and delivery of tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services
Develop client relationships with toll clients, working with local area teams and market sector teams
Collaborate with TBG region directors to evaluate and prioritize investments to capture tolling client opportunities across their regions
Provide strategic direction for HDR’s tolling services and participate in industry organizations to drive growth
Preferred Qualifications
PE preferred
Recognized leader in the Toll Roads/Toll Facilities space
Proven ability to set and execute strategy for growth of a practice, ideally in the tolling market
Established relationships with major toll clients/DOTs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field
Minimum 10 years of industry experience
Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering and/or planning services
Experience developing and managing a wide range of client relationships and program/project pursuits
Experience in overall staff development including recruiting, career path and professional growth
Experience with industry associations and a visible market presence
Ability to work cooperatively with various HDR leadership levels
Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an active participant of our employee‑owned culture
