Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Head and Neck Imaging Locations: Royal Sussex County Hospital, St. Richards, Chichester; Worthing Hospital, Worthing. Full‑time contract, permanent, 10 sessions per week. Salary: £109,725 – £145,478 per annum (closed 18/11/2025 23:59).

Job Overview We are seeking a Consultant Radiologist who specialises in head and neck imaging to join our expanding team.

The post requires a thorough grounding in clinical radiology, including ultrasound and cross‑sectional skills, and a proven record of performing specialist head and neck scanning, biopsies / FNA’s and multidisciplinary team (MDM) meetings.

Experience in paediatric imaging would be desirable.

Main Duties

General elective and acute (hot) reporting.

Sub‑specialty scanning including FNA’s / biopsies.

MDM participation.

Sub‑specialty reporting.

Participation in on‑call service.

Supervision of radiology trainees.

Person Specification – Experience and Qualifications

Full GMC registration.

CCT in Radiology (or equivalent).

Full specialist registration or eligibility for entry within 6 months of AAC.

Higher degree (e.g., MSc, MRes, PhD).

Distinctions, scholarships and prizes are highly regarded.

Broad experience of general acute and outpatient imaging, trauma CT, and dual‑modality reporting.

Experience in subspecialty head and neck reporting, MDM facilitation and US‑guided interventional procedures (drain insertion, biopsies).

Evidence of managerial competence and teamwork skills.

Interest and ability to teach, with recognised teaching qualifications (e.g., PG​cert Med Ed) welcomed.

Active participation in audit, research and publication activities.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
