Rebate Analyst

The Rebate Analyst will work closely with Contract Strategy to ensure all payer agreements are administered accurately within SAP and Vistex. Works closely with finance, accounts payable and IT to ensure rebates are accrued and administered accurately and paid timely. Works directly with customers to resolve discrepancies with payer invoices and other assigned accounts. As an integral member of the Sun Operations team that processes, evaluates, and analyzes sales contracts for U.S. markets, the Rebate Analyst will be responsible for the overall Contract Administration for Sun Pharma brands from membership, contract setup to pricing and rebate validation within Sun’s Revenue Management System and Consultants as needed. The Rebate Analyst will be assigned to process and analyze Market Access (Payer) and Specialty Pharmacy rebates. Operationalize contracts in Sun’s Revenue management systems, including Client Plan to formulary assignments. Prepare/maintain products, prices, performance tiers, eligibility dates, and rebate rates. Enter customer utilization data to support accurate calculation of rebates. Ensure data is error-free and loaded correctly in operational systems (document anomalies as appropriate). Review, process and validate all claims, administrative fees and rebates identifying possible disputes for the Commercial, Part D, Specialty Pharmacy, and Payer Customers. Work with internal/external customers to resolve outstanding disputes in a timely manner. Provide claim processing reports and metric tracking statistics to management on a regular basis to provide visibility as to the status, volume, and potential liability of future rebates, fees, and other payments. Develop SOPs and user guides, and expand/update existing documentation. Load contracts into revenue management system (SAP and Vistex) as reflected in commercial rebate agreements across channels. Maintains documentation relating to rebate payments and communicates rebate summaries and reconciliation packages to internal leadership and external parties as needed. Support organization during high demand audit cycles and quarterly reporting as needed. Education/Experience
BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience in a similar position such as Financial Planning and Analysis; 5+ years previous work experience Managing the processing membership, chargebacks and/or rebates required. Prior experience with an ERP System (JD Edwards, SAP, NetSuite). Prior experience processing one or more of the following: Managed Care rebates, Medicaid claims, government and commercial chargebacks, and/or wholesalers fees within a pharmaceutical company. Knowledge and experience in interpreting commercial and government contracts. Prior Pharmaceutical Experience is required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Contract Management Systems, such as Vistex (or other comparable system such as Model N, CARS, imany or Revitas is required). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, along with passing Sun assessment. Track record of developing and providing data analyses and reporting. Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on time management and follow through skills. In-depth knowledge of the Specialty Pharma industry, Sun Pharma Products policies, procedures, and the sales cycle. Prior role as a Business User in the implementation of a Contract Management System is a plus. Proactive with demonstrated ability to recognize trends and problems with GPOs and Payers. The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is
$88,000 to $107,500 . Actual base compensation may vary based on factors including geographical location and experience. This position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employee benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Paid time off includes vacation and sick time. The compensation and benefits described are subject to the terms of governing plans, policies, practices, agreements, or other documents as in effect from time to time. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (and other compensation programs) at any time, including for performance, department, or market factors.
