This is a unique opportunity to work directly with one of New York’s most respected matrimonial trial attorneys in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.

Compensation: $150,000–$225,000 plus performance‑based bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of the Matrimonial Attorney

Independently manage all aspects of contested divorce and family law litigation under DRL §236 and related statutes.

Draft pleadings, discovery demands, financial analyses, and motions.

Conduct depositions, evidentiary hearings, and trials.

Analyze financial statements, business valuations, and expert reports.

Negotiate and structure settlements in complex financial and custody disputes.

Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring responsiveness and discretion.

Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals as needed.

Qualifications of the Matrimonial Attorney

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to practice law in New York required.

Minimum of seven years of trial experience in family and matrimonial law.

Proven record handling high‑net‑worth or complex financial divorce cases.

Strong courtroom presence and excellent oral advocacy skills.

Exceptional research and writing skills.

Experience working with forensic accountants, valuation experts, and vocational experts.

Excellent judgment, ethics, and client‑relationship skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Appellate experience a plus.

Salary Range The salary for this position will range from $150,000 to $250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
