About the Role DNV is seeking a motivated and customer‑oriented Sales Executive to support the growth of our medical certification services with a focus on In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR). The position will play a key role in identifying leads, engaging customers, and supporting business development activities across North America. This role is ideal for someone with experience in medical devices, particularly in IVD sectors, who is familiar with B2B technical sales, understands the local regulatory landscape, and is eager to contribute to a fast‑growing, internationally recognized certification business. It can be remote from anywhere in the continental U.S.

What You'll Do Business Development & Sales Support

Identify and pursue new leads for IVDR and related certification services (ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDR) across North America.

Prepare proposals, quotations, and bid submissions in coordination with DNV’s regional sales and technical teams.

Collaborate with marketing teams on lead‑generation campaigns, webinars, and tradeshows relevant to the North American market.

Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and client communications in DNV’s CRM system.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

Build and maintain trusted relationships with IVD manufacturers, importers, consultants, and regulatory professionals.

Conduct introductory meetings and support pre‑sales discussions alongside DNV’s technical experts.

Act as a liaison between clients and internal delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and a high‑quality customer experience.

Market Knowledge & Reporting

Monitor North American and global IVD market and regulatory trends to inform go‑to‑market strategies.

Provide regular insights on competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer feedback.

Maintain accurate dashboards and reporting to support the regional sales lead and leadership team.

About You What Is Required

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or a relevant field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing roles within the medical device or diagnostics industry.

Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration platforms.

Excellent English communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).

Ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts into business value for customers.

Proactive, self‑motivated, and organized, with a strong customer‑first mindset.

Comfortable working cross‑functionally with global and regional teams.

Willingness to travel within the U.S. and Canada as needed (approx. 20–30%).

What Is Preferred

Familiarity with IVD regulations (EU IVDR, FDA QMSR, or Health Canada MDSAP).

Experience working with conformity assessment bodies, certification organizations, or regulatory agencies.

For California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland: DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The starting pay range for this role is $90,000 – $175,000 annual.
