We are looking to hire an Electrical Superintendent to help us oversee our commercial and multi-family projects in and around the Sacramento and/or bay area.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor Foremen, Journeyman and apprentice to ensure and maintain high-performance standards.

Oversee contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and municipalities.

Develop positive relationships between foreman, project managers , and clients

Train Foremen to ensure understanding of project budgets, contracted scope of work and job cost reports.

Responsible for Quality Assurance on all assigned projects in keeping with Capitol Valley Electric's high-quality standards and "Pro-Active" management philosophy

Ensures safety meetings are held weekly, and paperwork is maintained or submitted to the Safety Manager

Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company policies

Collaborate with staff to ensure plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs are transmitted to subcontractors accurately and timely

Collaborate with FM & PMs to identify the proper tools, equipment and materials required on the job site and ensure all rental equipment is getting maximum usage or promptly returned.

Develop, implement and direct meaningful and effective plans for managing time, materials and manpower

Qualifications

CA General Electrician License preferred and verifiable references

Minimum (10) year work experience as electrical Foreman or similar position

Valid CA Driver License

OSHA 30

Strong knowledge of the NEC

Experience in working on projects valued at 1-10mill

Understanding of RFIs, change orders, submittals, field directives and billing requests.

Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate crews on a daily basis

Complete understanding of construction documents including all plans and specifications

Experience with project management and scheduling software (ex: Procore, Accubid and Bluebeam)

Basic computer skills including email and reading / writing reports

Organizational skills required to track RFIs, packages, addendums, material requisitions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment. Must have a strong sense of balance and no fear of heights. Must be able to lift and move up to 75lbs*
