Role Overview This role is a Subject Matter Expert in infrastructure Workplace Services, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, cost‑efficient environments across classified programs. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and compliance with DoD security requirements are essential.
What You Will Do
Maintain and support RHEL (7/8/9), Windows Server (2019/2022), desktops (10/11), and virtual operating systems on a 24x7x365 enterprise network.
Partner with customers, software developers, security, storage architects, network engineers, and high‑performance computing teams to solve complex infrastructure problems.
Ensure compliance with DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and other security requirements.
Work full time in a fast‑paced environment within a DoD closed area.
Support both planned and unplanned initiatives, including occasional outside‑standard work hours.
Travel up to 25% (primarily to the Marlborough, MA office).
Obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
Serve as a 100% on‑site Raytheon employee.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance before the start date.
Hands‑on administration of Microsoft Windows OSs and/or RedHat Enterprise Linux OSs.
Qualifications We Prefer
Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Experience managing ADDS, DFS, WDS, WSUS, MECM/SCCM, MDT, PXE, PKI, and Kerberos.
Experience with Linux/Windows integration tools (Centrify, Samba, SSSD, NIS).
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, and ESXi.
Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, C.
Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and DoD/RMF.
Strong understanding of networking concepts.
