Role Overview We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead critical programs that transform our labor planning ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the expansion of our core planning products, specifically STPA (Short-Term Planning Application) and Scenario Manager, across multiple regions. You will own the strategic implementation of Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities to enable agentic workflows that revolutionize how planners interact with our systems. This role combines technical program execution with strategic product thinking to accelerate our labor planning transformation journey. Responsibilities

Lead the expansion of Scenario Manager across multiple businesses, ensuring these products scale effectively to meet diverse operational needs

Own the implementation of Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities across our product suite, enabling agentic workflows that transform planning experiences

Drive large-scale technical programs that transform our labor planning capabilities from siloed systems to a shared primitives architecture that serves multiple businesses

Identify and execute on opportunities within international businesses, working with regional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet unique market requirements

Partner with Data Engineers, Product Managers, Science teams, and Business Intelligence Engineering teams to resolve issues and accelerate delivery

Build relationships and manage by influence in a matrix organization, driving alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders

Define and execute Technical Program Management best practices to raise the bar on execution across our engineering, science, and business teams

Develop comprehensive program plans with clear deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements

Effectively communicate program status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership

Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints

Lead technical assessments to evaluate new opportunities and technologies that could enhance our labor planning capabilities

A day in the life

You'll start your day reviewing program status and addressing any emerging issues across your portfolio of initiatives. Throughout the day, you'll drive alignment on vision and execution plans that span multiple internal and external teams. You'll prepare and present schedule, risks, and roadmap status to leadership teams. You'll collaborate with engineering and science teams to define technical architectures for new labor planning primitives, ensuring they meet the needs of multiple business units. You'll lead cross-functional meetings to address technical challenges and make critical decisions to keep programs on track. Basic Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience

7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
