Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full-Time
in
New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and other industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security‐related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate within the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to assist in maintaining a welcoming environment and helping to deter disruptive behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or directing individuals throughout the healthcare location as required by site-specific procedures.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and healthcare staff to support a secure and customer-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements
Proof of vaccination may be required as a condition of employment at hospital locations.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
