Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty - Felician University Felician University is offering exciting opportunities for Adjunct Faculty in Graduate Nursing for the 2025-2026 academic year (spring semester). Under the mentorship of full-time faculty, adjunct instructors will provide classroom experiences grounded in “best practices” for higher education and their respective disciplines.

Position Type:

Part‑time, 1–2 courses per semester (spring 2025‑2026), maximum 3 days per week. Online format.

Department:

School of Nursing, Graduate Department.

Salary Range:

$750–$1,100 per credit hour.

Job Description Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Nursing, the Graduate Adjunct Faculty plays a vital role in the education of advanced practice nursing students. This individual is responsible for the delivery of didactic (non‑clinical) instruction in assigned graduate nursing courses. Graduate Adjunct Faculty are accountable for facilitating learning, evaluating student performance, and maintaining academic and professional excellence consistent with the standards of the School of Nursing. They collaborate closely with course leads to ensure that all learning outcomes and program competencies are achieved.

Provide high‑quality instruction in assigned graduate didactic courses (e.g., Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Health Assessment).

Deliver course content aligned with approved syllabi, course objectives, and program outcomes.

Engage students through interactive teaching, case‑based learning, and application to advanced nursing practice.

Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, exams, and discussions.

Maintain clear and ongoing communication with students and program faculty regarding academic progress and expectations.

Adhere to all policies related to course management, grading, and recordkeeping.

Maintain virtual office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries.

Collaborate with the course lead and academic leadership to ensure content consistency and instructional excellence.

Participate in orientation, faculty development, and meetings as required.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD) or Master’s degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a doctoral program.

Certification in area of specialization in primary care.

Current, unencumbered RN and APRN license.

Demonstrated expertise in the assigned content area.

Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in online or hybrid formats.

Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace/D2L, Canvas, Blackboard).

Willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University.

Preferred

Experience in graduate nursing education or curriculum development.

Familiarity with instructional technology and active learning methodologies.

Minimum of three years of recent advanced practice and/or academic experience.
