Provide professional counsel to Officers and Directors in property matters.

Complete property projects with high quality, timely, and reasonable price.

Reveal and address property concerns through inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for minor building maintenance and repairs.

Coordinate development and deployment of the Archibus system; provide training and implementation support.

Liaison between DHQ and THQ on the Archibus system.

Liaison to Area Commands for property related items.

Direct all major property projects from start to finish, including weekly/bi-weekly site inspections, liaison between contractors, providing status reports to the Property & Insurance Director, conducting punch lists and verifying completion.

Assist in securing comparable, competitive and complete bids for property projects; coordinate work through completion.

Conduct property inspections throughout the division to assess capital assets; assist local leadership in determining pressing property needs.

Provide direction to Corps Officers and Institution Directors on Maintenance and Operations.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance protocols; prepare property department manuals and contracts; ensure maintenance schedules established and maintained at the Division/Command and unit level.

Help interview and assess Facility Maintenance Staff and Lead Maintenance personnel.

Assist in coordinating construction on complex projects, new construction, building renovation, code violations, repairs of properties being sold, quarters maintenance, and more.

Research and recommend energy saving measures on Salvation Army properties.

Ensure effective operation and maintenance of properties, overseeing vendors and partnerships; monitor construction progress and engage contractors to resolve problems.

Other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships This position reports to the Property & Insurance Director.

Interacts with Corps Officers, Directors, Institution Directors, Vendors, Applicants and DHQ staff and department heads; represents the Salvation Army.

Performance Measurements Evaluated on achievement of outcomes, timeliness and accuracy of project completion, and quality of service provided.

Education & Experience

Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in maintenance or construction‑related field.

At least 10 years of experience in maintenance of multiple facilities and/or property management, real estate, and/or construction with negotiating skills.

Strong project management experience.

Excellent time management, prioritization, budgeting, and forecasting skills.

Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint (intermediate level).

Professional Archibus certification required (one year after implementation).

Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification helpful.

Experience with nonprofit organizations preferred.

Willingness and ability to work various hours, including evenings and weekends.

Willing to promote the mission of the Salvation Army.
