Boeing is looking for a talented Design and Analysis Engineer to join a new program/new team in Albuquerque, NM. This role will focus on designing and testing advanced concepts for the Department of Defense. Our program is starting the path to a systems requirements review. The primary responsibility of this individual will be working with a multi-disciplined engineering team to decompose system level requirements to electronic subsystems/components. This position will serve as our lead Electronics Engineer for a team tasked with requirements definition, and design/development/test of new electronic hardware solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic design (analog and digital), high speed, low latency systems, firmware development, requirements tracking/verification, assembly and test of subsystems, integration of subsystems into the final system, and a passion for finding solutions to solve interesting problems.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Design hardware, software, firmware and interface specifications.
Develop test plans to validate system designs against operational and functional requirements.
Resolve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Research specific technology advances and potential application to company business needs.
Work with suppliers for board/electronics hardware prototyping and manufacturing.
Mentor entry-level and mid-career engineers in electronic design best practices.
Required Skills
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
3+ years of experience developing subsystem requirements.
5+ years of experience researching, developing, or evaluating electrical, electronic, computer, software and/or firmware requirements.
5+ years of experience with the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems.
5+ years of experience with analog and/or digital circuit design, packaging techniques, and/or power systems.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high speed, low latency electronic design.
Experience with firmware development.
Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
