Seeking a Solar Electrical Engineer to support the design and implementation of large-scale utility solar projects. This role blends hands-on electrical design with coordination across engineering disciplines, ensuring projects meet performance, safety, and interconnection standards. Responsibilities
Design electrical systems for utility-scale solar projects, including single-line diagrams, layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications. Perform system studies such as load flow, fault current, grounding, and arc flash analysis. Review and validate electrical drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility requirements. Support equipment selection and procurement for inverters, transformers, switchgear, and medium-voltage systems. Prepare documentation for permitting and interconnection applications. Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in solar PV design, preferably on utility-scale projects. Proficient in PVsyst, ETAP, AutoCAD, or equivalent electrical engineering tools. Strong understanding of utility interconnection processes and technical requirements. Familiar with NEC 690/705, IEEE 1547, NFPA 70E, and other relevant standards. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus. Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses.
