We are seeking a skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and approving fixed asset invoices and purchase orders, ensuring accurate posting of asset additions, transfers, and disposals, and resolving any discrepancies related to fixed assets. You will also be responsible for the preparation, review, and distribution of fixed asset reports.
Responsibilities
Approve fixed asset invoices and related purchase orders.
Post fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals in the system.
Resolve discrepancies related to fixed assets.
Prepare and post asset-related journal entries, including fixed asset and depreciation accruals.
Prepare, review, and distribute fixed asset reports.
Approve acquired asset additions and disposals for sold assets.
Record related journal entries for asset disposals.
Reconcile the fixed asset sub‑ledger to the general ledger.
Ensure the integrity of fixed asset sub‑ledger data.
Respond to internal and external fixed asset inquiries and reporting requests.
Essential Skills
Expertise in fixed asset accounting and asset management.
Proficiency in journal entry preparation and general ledger reconciliation.
Experience with construction in progress (CIP) accounting.
Strong skills in fixed asset accruals and depreciation accruals.
Experience in fixed asset reporting and reconciliation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on fixed assets.
Knowledge of Workday.
Work Environment This role offers a hybrid work environment, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. During the first week of the month, all team members are onsite for the month‑end close process. After that, remote work is scheduled for either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, with all team members in the office on Wednesdays. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $43.00/hr.
