We are seeking an experienced
QC Engineer
to oversee and coordinate all site quality control activities related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The QC Engineer is responsible for implementing project quality control procedures, verifying work execution through inspections and testing, maintaining documentation, and supporting system turnover and commissioning deliverables. This role acts as the primary interface between field inspectors, trade leads, and the client's QA representatives to ensure full compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate
inspection and testing activities
for all MEP disciplines in accordance with approved
ITPs, Quality Plans, and project specifications .
Review and approve
Inspection Requests (IRs)
,
Material Inspection Reports (MIRs/MMRs)
, and ensure timely submission to the client/consultant.
Perform and document field inspections for
installation, testing, and commissioning
phases; verify compliance with contract requirements and code standards.
Identify and document
non‑conformances
, issue
NCRs
, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
Ensure traceability of materials, calibration of test instruments, and adherence to inspection hold and witness points.
Maintain all
quality documentation
including ITP logs, inspection reports, test records, and turnover packages.
Coordinate with
Trade Team Leads, Construction, and Commissioning
teams for inspection readiness and work sequencing.
Liaise with the
client's QA/QC representatives
during audits, inspections, and system walk‑downs.
Support the development of
turnover documentation
, including redlines, punch lists, and completion certificates.
Provide technical guidance to
Field Inspectors (I & II)
and ensure consistent application of QC procedures across all trades.
Promote compliance with
ISO 9001
,
NICET
, and relevant
ASTM, NFPA, ASME, and ICC
standards.
Prepare weekly QC progress summaries and contribute to management reporting.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
(or related field).
5–10 years
of experience in quality control within MEP, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
Proven knowledge of
ITPs, NCR/CAR systems, and inspection documentation management .
Familiarity with
NEC/NFPA, ASME, IPC, ASTM, and ICC
standards.
Excellent coordination and communication skills; capable of interfacing with client representatives and internal teams.
Proficiency in
MS Office
and QA/QC management software (e.g.,
Procore
,
Bluebeam
, or equivalent).
Strong analytical mindset and meticulous documentation discipline.
Physically fit for field presence and capable of inspecting active construction zones.
Preferred Qualifications
NICET
certification in Construction Materials Testing, Electrical, or Mechanical Systems.
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management
certification or equivalent.
Experience in
commissioning and turnover documentation preparation .
Prior exposure to
data center, power generation, or industrial facility projects .
