Overview A Senior Project Manager leads end-to-end construction delivery for large-scale multifamily projects, overseeing preconstruction, budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, quality control, and closeout while serving as the primary client and design team contact. This role works directly with leadership and the executive team to scale and grow their multifamily portfolio, managing some of their luxurious projects. Premier General Contractor based in Indianapolis specializes in multifamily, mixed‑use, senior living, and historic renovations.
Responsibilities
Own project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, cash flows, and budget forecasts; drive corrective action when variances occur.
Manage procurement and subcontractor selection, negotiate scopes and contracts, and enforce contractual performance.
Serve as primary client and design‑team contact, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and protecting owner objectives.
Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance with local codes and Denton Floyd standards.
Lead cross‑functional project meetings, align internal teams, and resolve field issues that impact cost or schedule.
Review and approve RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications with accurate documentation.
Implement and monitor quality control and safety programs to ensure high construction standards and a safe jobsite.
Mentor project staff, foster collaborative relationships with subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement.
Oversee multifamily project portfolio.
Profile
8+ years of experience in construction.
Experience in multifamily, assisted living, or mixed‑use projects.
Working knowledge of construction technology and details.
Extremely proficient at reviewing and understanding construction documents including specifications and drawings.
Excellent communication skills with management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
