Human Resources Business Partner (Strategic) Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Overview As a strategic partner to business leaders, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) drives the alignment of people strategies with business objectives. Working across multiple sites, states/provinces, and/or departments, this role serves as a key advisor and advocate for fostering a high‑performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce. The HRBP may report to a Human Resources Regional Manager or Director of HR Operations.

The HRBP thrives on building relationships, understanding business goals, and executing HR solutions that deliver results. From coaching managers on performance and talent development to leading initiatives that elevate employee retention and engagement, the HRBP is an integral player in navigating organizational change, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the employee experience. This role uniquely blends people analytics with hands‑on HR expertise to support the full employee lifecycle while influencing a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with leaders, understand business goals, and implement HR strategies to drive productivity and continuous improvement.

Coach managers on performance management, facilitate conflict resolution, and connect employees to learning opportunities.

Investigate workplace issues, ensure timely resolution of employee concerns, and promote compliance with company policies.

Leverage data from surveys and feedback to improve employee retention, foster a positive work culture, and implement recognition programs.

Analyze trends in turnover, absenteeism, and performance to develop action plans that drive engagement and retention.

Collaborate on wage recommendations, benefits education, and the open enrollment process.

Support diversity & inclusion programs and initiatives; engage with employee resource groups.

Partner with leaders to attract, develop, and retain top talent; support hiring processes and training.

Schedule and deliver annual talent review and succession planning activities; support performance review and goal‑setting processes.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in a generalist or HRBP role with broad knowledge of employment law, recruiting, compensation, organizational planning, workforce planning, employee relations, training, and development.

Experience managing multi‑site or multi‑location responsibilities.

Exceptional service orientation and ability to partner with stakeholders.

Proven ability to lead and manage organizational change initiatives.

Experience with HR analytics and metrics to drive data‑driven decisions.

Strong communication, organizational, and project‑management skills.

Adaptable to managing a high‑volume workload with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and provincial employment laws.

Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms.

Travel may be up to 50% and the role requires five days on‑site.

Bilingual Spanish is a plus; the role is in‑person.

Physical/Mental Considerations

Frequent visual acuity for data analysis, repetitive motion involving hands and fingers, prolonged sitting/standing, and walking.

Work in varied environments such as distribution, ports, and transportation facilities with differing noise levels, lighting, and temperature conditions.

Strong focus, reasoning, decision‑making, and effective communication skills for long periods.
