SharePoint Engineer
Our client, a full-service IT provider that empowers organizations by delivering comprehensive managed services, proactive cybersecurity, and modern cloud solutions designed to keep operations secure and efficient is seeking a SharePoint Engineer to join their team. Location: Sterling, VA Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20-30 hours/week. Flexible hours. Compensation: $48.00 - $55.00 / Hour Responsibilities: Collaboration & Business Enablement Design and implement SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists to support team collaboration and document management. Build and optimize workflows using Power Automate and SharePoint Designer. Partner with business units to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, scalable solutions. Provide training and support to users and site owners to promote adoption and best practices. Development & Customization Develop custom SharePoint components using SPFx, JavaScript, and REST APIs. Create and maintain Power Apps and integrated solutions with Microsoft 365 and third-party platforms. Troubleshoot and enhance existing SharePoint applications and forms. Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems. Governance & Administration Administer SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server environments, including site collections, permissions, and storage. Implement governance policies, security protocols, and lifecycle management. Monitor system performance, usage analytics, and compliance with data retention policies. Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of SharePoint operations. Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server. Strong proficiency in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), SPFx, and Microsoft 365. Experience with SharePoint architecture, site provisioning, and governance frameworks. Familiarity with Azure services, Microsoft Graph API, and Active Directory. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Preferred Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Purview or other compliance tools. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. SharePoint certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer or Administrator) are a plus.
