Human Resources Generalist
– Northern Berkshire Pediatrics, LLP Northern Berkshire Pediatrics, a trusted provider of pediatric care in the community, is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Human Resources Generalist for a part‑time hourly position (24 hours per week). The role may transition to a full‑time (32 hour) role based on candidate suitability. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage job postings and screen resumes. Coordinate interviews, interview panels, and selection decisions. Support hiring processes and onboarding, including HRIS setup, welcome materials, and exit procedures.
Employee Relations & Performance
Provide a trusted resource for employee concerns and workplace issues. Assist with performance management, disciplinary processes, and annual evaluations.
Compliance & Policy
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR regulations. Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and support audit preparation.
Benefits & Leave Administration
Administer employee benefits and maintain leave tracking (PTO, PFML, ADA, etc.). Handle benefits audits and respond to insurance and state leave requests.
Payroll & HR Systems
Process biweekly payroll and track deductions. Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll records and organize payroll reports.
Employee Engagement
Support employee recognition, wellness initiatives, and team celebrations.
General Business Support
Assist with finance‑related tasks, including light accounting or QuickBooks work.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of HR generalist experience preferred. Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred). Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with spreadsheets and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
PHR or SHRM‑CP certification is a plus. Experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with QuickBooks or basic accounting tasks.
Salary
$28 – $35 per hour (rate determined by experience and qualifications).
