Understand VLANs, port channel bonding, and Layer 2/3 switch interactions. Linux expertise:
Manage user/group accounts via LDAP and configure DHCP, DNS, and TFTP services with confidence. Scripting skills:
Write efficient scripts in Bash, Perl, Python, or similar languages to automate workflows. System administration mastery:
Oversee and monitor large distributed systems with multiple clusters-each spanning at least three racks and 60+ nodes per site. Troubleshooting prowess:
Diagnose and resolve issues in large-scale cloud computing environments using technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra, Scality, Swift, Gluster, Lustre, GPFS, Amazon S3, or similar. Configuration management savvy:
Utilize tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Salt to maintain consistent system states. Container and orchestration experience:
Work hands-on with Kubernetes and Docker to streamline deployment and management. Cutting-edge AI exposure:
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies. Cloud architecture skills:

Qualifications Position Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required Five (5) years of relevant experience as a systems administrator is required A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics is required. (Four (4) additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree) Security + certification is required (8570) One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator---Associate AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on our critical National Security programs, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan. Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
