Open Rank Dentistry Faculty - DCG, General Dentistry - Part Time Job Summary The Department of General Dentistry in the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a part‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The faculty member will provide oversight of students' clinical activities to include treatment planning, professionalism and ethics, and private practice instruction. This is a non‑tenure track position.

Responsibilities Teaching - 95% Oversight of student clinical activities, including treatment planning, professionalism and ethics, and private practice instruction. Participation in comprehensive care/general dentistry courses at pre‑doctoral and post‑doctoral levels. Participation in faculty practice and research is expected. Preference for candidates with clinical experience and expertise in advanced technologies, digital workflow, and/or dental implants to support advanced technology curricula.

Service - 5% Participate in department, DCG, and AU committees and complete annual compliance training.

Required Qualifications

General Dentistry experience.

Dental degree from a US‑accredited school: DMD, DDS, or foreign equivalent.

For rank:

Assistant Professor – early career faculty.

Associate Professor – at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor.

Professor – at least five years at rank of Associate Professor.

Additional qualifications for all ranks: consistent with SACSCOC requirements; evidence of teaching, scholarly activity, and other duties; successful experience; desirable personal qualities judged by interview.

Preferred Qualifications Educational:

Digital Dentistry.

Experience:

Previous teaching, experience in digital dentistry; significant clinical experience; post‑graduate training in general dentistry or prior experience in dental education and practice management.

Shift / Salary / Benefits This position is fiscal‑year based and works year‑round. Full‑time equivalent (FTE) is between 0.5–0.74 and partially benefits eligible. Salary commensurate with education, experience, and achievements; subject to availability of funds. Benefits include 13 paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, and generous retirement plans.
