Our client, a fast-growing AI technology company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable and Collections Lead to join their expanding finance team.
Location:
San Francisco, CA. This position is hybrid, with in-office expectations 2 days per week.
Job Description This is a strategic leadership role with full ownership of the global AR and collections function, offering the opportunity to build scalable processes and lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
Own the full AR lifecycle from invoice delivery through cash application, ensuring optimal collection performance and strong DSO management.
Develop and implement AR and collections policies, procedures, and documentation to support scalability and compliance.
Build and lead a high-performing AR & Collections team, setting priorities and driving results.
Lead system evaluations and implementations for AR platforms and tools in collaboration with Finance Systems and Engineering.
Deliver analytics and dashboards to track collections effectiveness, credit risk, and operational performance.
Ensure audit readiness and support month-end close activities including reconciliations and bad debt assessments.
Drive cross-functional projects across Finance, Sales, Legal, and Engineering.
Requirements
15+ years of progressive AR and collections experience in high-growth and public technology companies.
5+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record in scaling teams and driving performance.
Deep understanding of AR-related accounting principles, GAAP, and ASC 606.
Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and dashboard tools.
Proven success in process improvement, automation, and cross-functional project leadership.
