Accounting Manager or Senior Manager
Our client, a rapidly growing AI technology company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to help establish a world‑class accounting function from the ground up.
Location This position is on‑site Monday through Friday at their San Francisco office.
Job Description This is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑growth environment, work closely with senior leadership, and make a significant impact on scaling operations.
Responsibilities
Own the monthly close calendar and coordinate cross‑functional deliverables.
Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by internal staff and external support teams.
Prepare monthly reporting packages including financial statements, flux analyses, and KPI tie‑outs.
Assess internal control environment and create a scalable control framework.
Lead preparation for the first financial audit, including documentation and issue resolution.
Support technical accounting analyses (ASC 606, ASC 718, capitalization, leases).
Partner on ERP configuration and workflow design, including testing and data migration.
Manage equity rollforward and operationalize revenue workflows.
Collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, and other teams to embed finance requirements into workflows.
Supervise accounting staff and external support resources.
Requirements
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and high‑growth company exposure.
Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 606 & ASC 718.
Experience managing month‑end close and preparing management reporting packages.
Proven experience leading audits and working with external auditors.
ERP implementation experience (Rillet or similar systems a plus).
