Exempt Summary
The Director of CTE Program Innovation is responsible for supporting and overseeing the effective implementation of CTE programs across the district. This administrative role requires extensive knowledge of CTE pathways, instructional best practices, and program requirements. The director will work collaboratively with administration, teachers, and staff to ensure high-quality satellite and central campus innovative CTE instruction and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of CTE programs. Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to align CTE curriculum with industry standards and state requirements as well as dual and concurrent college and university credit opportunities. Provide professional development and instructional support to CTE educators Coordinate and manage purchasing and inventory for CTE pathways Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local CTE program regulations Assist with data collection, reporting, and documentation related to program performance. Support grant writing and budget management as needed Foster partnerships with local industry, postsecondary institutions, and community stakeholders Knowledge of the requirement of CTE Programs such as CTSO, WBL, industry certifications Lead district secondary and post-secondary accreditation and delivery Assist learners in identifying learning needs and guide to appropriate resources Evaluate effectiveness of learning strategies and outcomes of educational activities Submit reports as requested, including grades, attendance, behavior, etc. Supports the maintenance of the physical facility including equipment and supplies Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications/Education And/or Experience Strong knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs and instructional practices Arizona Principal and/or Superintendent Certification Master’s Degree Experience in curriculum development and teacher support Familiarity with program compliance, reporting, and accountability systems Ability to manage budgets and coordinate purchasing for multiple programs Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills Experience working with administrators and cross-functional teams Thorough knowledge and application of secondary curriculum and instruction in career/technical/occupational/vocational education, vocational work and apprenticeship programs Current negative TB skin test (within the last year) MMR immunization, required unless born prior to January 1, 1957 Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to obtain one Valid Arizona Driver’s License May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 50 pounds May be required to work outside normal working hours May be required to travel to perform work functions Preferred Qualifications/Education And/or Experience Possess a Career & Technical Education certificate or have as an administrator overseen career/technical/occupational/vocational education Three years teaching experience to include career/technical/occupational/vocational education or a certified secondary academic course Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Have thorough knowledge of Pima County JTED policies that pertain to instruction, students, student discipline, etc. Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to use appropriate technology and able to use as an integral part of instruction Excellent time management and organizational skills Utilizes sound judgement and decision-making skills Ability to use tools and equipment related to area of instruction Application Process
