Position Overview The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for several tenure‑track and tenured faculty positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels.

These positions support the School’s research leadership in Cybersecurity.

Research Focus We welcome applicants in all areas of cybersecurity, with particular interest in work that enhances the School’s strengths in:

Systems and software security

Data privacy

Human‑centered security and privacy

Trustworthy AI

Examples include trusted computing, secure mobile and cloud platforms, usable and inclusive security technologies, and secure and reliable AI systems.

Collaborations and Opportunities Faculty will join a collaborative academic community with strong cross‑disciplinary ties in computing, engineering, law, policy, and health.

Opportunities include collaboration with IU Research and the Indiana University Applied Research Center (ARC) and participation in the School’s internationally recognized security and privacy centers.

The School hosts graduate programs such as the BS in Cybersecurity and Global Policy and the MS in Cybersecurity Risk Management.

Appointment Details These are 10‑month faculty appointments with a preferred start date of August 1 2026 (start date negotiable).

Tenured/tenure‑track faculty are expected to contribute substantially to research, teaching, and service, including securing major extramural research funding, mentoring students, and engaging in departmental and university service.

Location Positions are located on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington (IUB) in Bloomington, Indiana.

Successful candidates are expected to work on campus to allow full engagement with the department, school, campus, and community.
