Electrical Engineer – Power
Location: Orlando, FL
Salary: $58,656.00 – $85,000.00
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical layouts, power and lighting plans, and conduit/cable tray arrangements.
Perform equipment sizing, load calculations, and prepare Bills of Materials.
Create and review wiring diagrams using SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) or SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
Prepare technical specifications and coordinate with vendors.
Provide technical support during manufacturing and commissioning.
Mentor junior engineers; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of experience in industrial power distribution design (up to 600 VAC and 220 VDC).
Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70).
Familiarity with NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and other industry standards.
Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience in Gas or Steam Turbine auxiliary systems or power plant design.
Working experience with SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), SmartPlant 3D (S3D), or Revit 3D.
Proficiency in lighting design tools (DIALux, Visual).
AutoCAD experience.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
