Recycling Service Technician
at
Stanford Health Care . Under the leadership of the Operations Supervisor, the Recycling Service Technician performs collection, sorting, handling and disposal of municipal recycling and compost, as well as specialty recycling streams including universal waste and donations. The technician provides customer service, coordinates daily tasks in a computer-based service management portal, performs quality assessments, and adheres to infection prevention and safety practices. What You Will Do
Collect recyclable and compostable materials, universal waste, and specialty discards from clinical and non-clinical locations on an established route. Collect large recyclables and specialty discards from clinical and non-clinical locations on call. Sort all collected materials into the correct container on the waste dock. Perform visual quality assessments of waste collection spaces and sort quality; document as directed. Deliver collection bins for office cleanout and declutter events; coordinate bin delivery and collection and sort materials into the correct waste stream. Receive and manage requests in a computer-based facilities service management portal; log labor time and work details. Coordinate collection schedule and logistics with customers as needed; perform customer service tasks within the context of daily work. Clean recycling bins and collection carts according to hospital procedure. Observe and practice standard precautions and hospital safety regulations and procedures. Operate waste compactors. Perform other related duties related to waste reduction, sustainability, and materials management as requested, including staff outreach and movement of materials and equipment in the hospital as requested by the Sustainability department. Recognize and eliminate potential hazards in the work environment. Education Qualifications
Must be able to successfully complete in-service orientation and continuing education training programs. Experience Qualifications

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $26.72 - $30.10 per hour. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
