Location and Travel This opening is in
Roy, UT; Manhattan Beach, CA; or Huntsville, AL
and will support the Sentinel Program. The role requires travel as stated above.
What You Will Get To Do
Oversee the development, request, and implementation of changes to the Program and technical baseline with a focus on ensuring changes are well understood, documented, and executed through the Program approved Change Boards.
Develop change request packages and represent the package through the change board process.
Ensure change request package meets quality standards and is board ready.
Coordinate comment follow‑up, resolution, and approvals.
Coordinate and provide input into impact assessments.
Coordinate resolution and closeout of board action items.
Interface with Configuration Management when submitting change requests and finalize change requests after board approval.
Ensure approved change requests are implemented prior to change request closure.
Follow through to ensure change requests are closed timely.
Basic Qualifications
Principal Systems Engineer – BS degree in STEM with 5 years of related systems engineering experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable amount of time.
1 year of project management experience; demonstrate knowledge of project management fundamentals & communication skills and flexibility.
2 years of relevant experience in a configuration & data management (CMDM) role with knowledge of best practices, tools, and procedures (JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Cameo, CPLM).
3 years of experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and/or Configuration Management Plans (CMP) that align with EIA Standard 649‑1, MIL‑HDBK‑61B, or best industry practices.
3 years of experience demonstrating System Engineering principles, process, knowledge, practice, and theories.
3 years of experience demonstrating Model Based Systems Engineering concepts, theories, and tools.
3 years of presentation experience with the ability to present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers.
3 years of experience with MS Office Suite Product(s).
3 years of technical writing experience.
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – BS degree in STEM with 8 years of related systems engineering experience; 6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years (duplicate requirement).
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable amount of time (duplicate requirement).
5 years of project management experience; demonstrate knowledge of project management fundamentals & communication skills and flexibility.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary salary range: $86,600.00 – $150,500.00. Secondary salary range: $107,800.00 – $187,300.00. Salary is based on experience, education, and other factors.
