Position Summary
The City of Grandview is accepting applications for the Full Time position of Human Resources Generalist. Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, this role coordinates day‑to‑day HR administrative duties and supports the director’s initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Provides technical and administrative support across all HR areas.
Designs and implements full‑cycle recruitment, creating a strong talent pipeline for City jobs.
Prepares and manages interview guides and applicant tracking.
Ensures all HR processes are completed for hire, separation, transfer, and promotion.
Conducts new employee onboarding and orientation.
Conducts exit and stay interviews.
Responds to supervisory questions regarding HR policy, procedure, and expectations.
Verifies and enters data into various HR systems.
Pay & Benefits Base pay range:
$27.76 – $37.48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
L6 lagers pension plan
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Deferred compensation
Generous paid time off
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of three years’ experience in HR planning, learning & development, recruitment, and HRIS systems.
Strong technical knowledge of HR policies and practices.
Business‑level written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with workers’ compensation and unemployment programs.
Experience administering employee health and benefit programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
Professional certification preferred: IPMA‑CP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP.
3–5 years of experience administering HR policies and procedures preferred.
