Uncrewed Systems (UxS) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software. HII creates advanced unmanned solutions for defense, marine research and commercial applications, and serves customers in more than 30 countries with design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations and sustainment of unmanned systems, including UUVs and USVs. What You Will Be Doing
Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits; investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Interacts with government customers on security related issues and interfaces with the HII IT department on approvals and installations as required. Participates in DOD and other Industrial Security Programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Administers and coordinates security briefings for personnel, onboarding and terminating personnel as required. Develops, administers, and enforces security policies for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment, including handling and safeguarding classifications and downgrading/upgrading when required. Implements 32-CFR Part 117 and SEAD 3 reporting requirements; reviews and enforces federal security regulations applicable to company operations. Obtains rulings and approvals for regulatory compliance from government agencies; prepares manuals and SOPs, and establishes procedures for record keeping and access control. Supports Foreign Visitor Management Program as needed and conducts security education and audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports with preventive actions; conducts semi-annual security self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments. Ensures security clearance data accuracy and manages COMSEC material records and reporting; destroy/ inventory COMSEC material as required. Maintains knowledge of US Government online programs (NBIS, eAPP, DISS, NISS) and liaises with IT for facility operations approvals. Serves as primary point of contact for facility operations and engages in audits related to DFARs and CUI compliance. Ensures proper safeguarding of classified information according to federal controlling instructions and prepares for DCSA audits. What We Are Looking For
6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master's in related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. Thorough knowledge of 32-CFR, Part 117, ICDs and other DoD compliance requirements. Thorough knowledge of DIAS and control of COMSEC material. DCSA FSO Certification for possessing facilities is required. Full knowledge and understanding of industry practices; ability to perform complex professional tasks independently. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NBIS, DISS and NISS. Must possess a current Secret clearance with an in-scope background investigation; ability to meet Top Secret/SCI eligibility if required. Preferred Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and/or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). Ability to interpret guidelines and apply them to individual situations; knowledge of Physical Security Requirements is a plus.
