Job Summary The Research Associate will perform cell culture, real‑time PCR, flow cytometry, western blotting, histological studies, gene silencing and overexpression, maintain mouse colonies, conduct genotyping assays, and manage lab supplies and grant administration.
Responsibilities
Management of mouse colony and generation of mice
Real‑time PCR, flow cytometry, western blotting, and other molecular biology studies
Ordering lab supplies and grant administration
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field with relevant research experience
OR Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of three years research and/or clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mouse handling and performing molecular biology techniques
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Knowledge of cell culture, western blotting, databases and spreadsheets
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willingness and ability to work with research animals
Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Salary Minimum: $45,400 annually
Pay Band: B8
Recruitment Period: Until Filled
