Job Summary The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our hematological malignancies registry and in coordinating a project aimed at addressing health disparities across Georgia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge research and improve patient outcomes in the field of hematology and other malignancies.

Responsibilities

Accurately collect, enter, and manage patient data related to hematological and other malignancies in the registry database.

Perform regular quality control checks and audits to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Maintain and update the registry database, ensuring data integrity and security.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including patient confidentiality and ethical standards.

Coordinate research studies addressing the access of women in rural Georgia and South Carolina to breast and cervical cancer screenings.

Assist in developing and implementing research protocols and SOPs, including generating protocols for clinical research and submitting them to the Institutional Review Board.

Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met according to the study plan.

Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research projects and stay updated on advancements in hematological malignancies.

Assist in the analysis of registry data to identify trends, patterns, and research opportunities.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on registry data for internal and external stakeholders.

Assist in preparing grant proposals and funding applications to support research initiatives.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and data managers to achieve project goals.

Communicate effectively with external partners, including healthcare providers, research institutions, and funding agencies.

Provide training and support to new staff and collaborators on the use of the registry database and related protocols.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field such as biology, biostatistics, epidemiology, or public health, or equivalent experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory work with clinical research.

OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three years research and/or clinical experience and prior supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in clinical research, data management, or registry management, preferably in hematology or oncology.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high‑quality data standards.

Specific experience working with hematological malignancies or related registries.

Experience with human subjects training in a clinical research capacity or setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday – Friday

Pay Band: B8; Salary Minimum: $21.83 per hour (commensurate with qualifications).

Benefits may include health, dental, and life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays for eligible employees.
