Buckhead area personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic personal injury litigation paralegal. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling all aspects of the litigation process from intake through trial preparation. Must have high level critical thinking and problem solving skills. The firm prides itself on taking a proactive approach to cases. A successful paralegal is confident, creative, self-motivated, detail oriented, invested in their career with highly developed people skills and a go-getter attitude. Attention to writing detail is required. Must have the ability to support multiple attorneys, manage deadlines and work under pressure. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform intake screening for potential new clients Set up insurance claims, draft initial letters of representation, send open records requests Professionally interact with clients, adjusters, physicians\' staff, opposing counsel, and court personnel Communicate with clients regarding medical treatment, case status, settlement, etc. Request medical records and follow-up on requests Assist attorneys in negotiating settlement of cases with insurance adjusters Schedule doctor meetings, draft medical narratives and future care summaries Schedule opposing party and doctor depositions Prepare settlement distribution agreements, negotiate provider balances, and conduct lien searches Manage health insurance subrogation process. Request and analyze health plan documents Education and Experience Requirements
Two or four year college degree, paralegal college program preferred Minimum of 2-4 years personal injury experience. Ability to take direction from multiple staff members Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with the litigation process Case management software experience, preferably Casepeer Health Insurance Paid time off Seniorities
