Responsibilities Tasks
Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization
Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies
Evaluate daily operations
Plan and control budget and expenditures
Plan and organize daily operations
Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy
Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services
Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
Manage contracts
Oversee the analysis of data and information
Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts
Select and purchase equipment and supplies
Negotiate offers from suppliers
Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
Supervision
5-10 people
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation
