Senior Manager - Power & Utilities: Energy Optimization – TSD - Tech Consulting

The role of an Energy Optimization Senior Manager is to lead consulting services for Power & Utilities clients implementing digital grid programs, capabilities, and systems (AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS). Your work will create increased value and efficiency for clients while building a better working world. Key Responsibilities
Lead consulting engagements that solve complex issues in the Power & Utilities industry Successfully manage engagements’ time and budgets Communicate complex messages and facilitate difficult decisions while building and maintaining strong trust-based relationships Maximize operational efficiencies on engagements Monitor service quality, review project plans, and guide team execution Provide strategic insights to anticipate client needs Leverage relationships, use technology to enhance client service delivery, and develop account plans Participate in new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions Stay current with industry trends to serve as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert Build and develop strong, inclusive teams; coach and mentor team members Skills & Attributes for Success
Industry knowledge of Power & Utilities and competitors Ability to navigate complex relationships and provide supportive coaching Adaptability to varied cultural and personal styles Proactiveness in identifying gaps and proposing service and technology solutions Passion for promoting EY strategy, services, and values Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related field Minimum 10 years of related consulting experience, or a graduate degree and 8 years of experience At least 10 years of consulting experience with Power & Utilities clients Experience leading teams, managing engagement economics, and business development Flexibility to work across consulting services if needed Proven experience in Transmission, Distribution, Generation, Regulatory, Customer, AMI, ADMS, OMS, DMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, or GIS implementation Willingness to travel as required Valid driver’s license Preferred Experience
