Financial Services Onboarding Manager – Del Mar, CA

A respected financial services firm in Del Mar, CA is seeking a seasoned and relationship-driven Onboarding Manager to lead their advisor onboarding process. This is a direct hire opportunity for a professional with 5+ years of experience in financial services, specifically in advisor transitions and onboarding.

As the Onboarding Manager, you will own the advisor onboarding process from initial interview coordination through five months post-start. You’ll serve as the main point of contact for new advisors, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and set up for success. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a service-oriented mindset.

Details:

  • Location: In-office in Del Mar

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

  • Salary: $125,000–$150,000/year, based on experience

  • Job Type: Direct Hire


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full onboarding lifecycle for financial advisors, from interview scheduling to post-start integration

  • Serve as the primary liaison for new advisors, answering questions and guiding them through onboarding milestones

  • Coordinate with internal departments (HR, compliance, IT, operations) to ensure timely setup and training

  • Track onboarding progress and proactively address any issues or delays

  • Develop and maintain onboarding documentation, checklists, and communication templates

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on onboarding status and advisor engagement

  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and enhance advisor experience


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on advisor onboarding and transitions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple onboarding timelines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/onboarding platforms

  • Professional demeanor and ability to build trust with new hires

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Series 24 license preferred
