Warren Averett Executive Search is hiring for a Gulf Shores, AL, Accounting Manager with government contracting and accounting leadership experience. Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Help ensure compliance with government regulations
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including job costing, project performance and revenue recognition
• Prepare and review monthly indirect rate calculations
• Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors, particularly DCAA and independent financial audits
• Manage specialized government submissions like Incurred Cost Submissions and Provisional Billing Rates

Skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of government accounting principles and regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.).
• Experience with government accounting systems like Unanet or Deltek Costpoint a plus
• Must have strong understanding of government contracting and indirect rates
• Experience with DCAA and DCMA audits and inquiries would be a plus but not required
• Ability to manage staff and lead projects.
